The Trinity Library has an automated circulation system. To check out a book, bring the book and your student identification card to the circulation desk. You will be advised of the due date for the book, along with a receipt slip showing the due date.

Books may be renewed by bringing them to the circulation desk or by calling the library, unless another student has requested it. If another student has requested a book you’ve renewed, someone from the library will call or email and ask you to return it as quickly as possible. We reserve the right to recall any book after a borrower has had it for at least one week if another student needs it. The borrower may ask to have it back after that student has had it for one week. This policy applies to audio and video titles as well.

Borrowers must return the items to the circulation desk by the date due during regular library hours. Please put them in the slot at the end of the circulation desk or hand them to the circulation worker. Please do not leave them sitting on the circulation desk. Please also do not leave them in a bag outside the door. An after hours return return box is available in the foyer to return books when the library is closed.

Overdue fines are $.10 per day. Course reserves have a higher fine structure at $.25 per hour. Please note that fines will be charged.

Damaged Items
Borrowers are responsible for taking care of any item checked out. The Library must charge borrowers to repair or replace any book or other material that has become damaged during this period. “Damage” is defined as any damage beyond normal wear and tear, and “normal wear and tear” is defined as “that caused by a careful reader.” This includes intentional things, such as highlighting or underlining a book and unintentional things, such as not preventing the family dog from chewing the item.
