Andy Piercy & David Clifton
An entertaining and uplifting concert of new songs for todays church and the stories behind them.
Andy Piercy and David Clifton have been writing and recording together for nearly 20 years and were on staff as part of the worship team at Holy Trinity Brompton in London. They accompanied Nicky Gumbel and Sandy Millar on Alpha conferences all over the world and played a large part in developing the worship as that church rapidly expanded with thousands of new believers.
Both David and Andy have a long background in professional music. David has toured with Julia Fordham and Tinita Tikaram and recorded with many top Christian songwriters, including Robin Mark (Revival in Belfast) and Graham Kendrick. Andy was lead singer in the rock band ‘After The Fire’, who toured with Queen, ELO and Van Halen as well as having a top 5 hit in the USA with “Der Kommissar (Don’t Turn Around)” in the 80’s. Andy then went on to to produce albums for Delirious (Cutting Edge, King of Fools), Matt Redman (Heart of Worship), Rita Springer (Created to worship).
Their songwriting has often been praised for it’s strong use of scripture and liturgy within an easy and accessible style that is useful for both congregational and individual worship.
Andy and David now live in the USA and are both involved with the Anglican Mission in the Americas. David is at Church of the Apostles in Knoxville, TN while Andy lives in Mt Pleasant SC and is the Director of Worship Development for theAM.
