The Book of Revelation

Week Two of the June Intensives (June 10-14, 2024)

The Book of Revelation (also known as ‘the Apocalypse’) is one of the most exciting – and confusing – books of the Bible. Although those who read it are promised a blessing, many choose to avoid it. The book has also been subjected to frightening misinterpretations. This course will attempt interpret Revelation responsibly. Attention will be given to ways in which the genre of the text is to be understood, how the text would have been understood by the first readers, and how it should inform our Christian thinking and practice today.
